Nameless Grace

"She walks in beauty, like the night
        Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
    And all that's best of dark and bright
        Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
    Thus mellowed to that tender light
        Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
    One shade the more, one ray the less,
        Had half impaired the nameless grace
    Which waves in every raven tress,
        Or softly lightens o'er her face;
    Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
        How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
    And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
        So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
    The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
        But tell of days in goodness spent,
    A mind at peace with all below,
        A heart whose love is innocent!"
- She Walks in Beauty - Lord Byron
Sinful Sunday

  1. This is beautiful, you look stunning in this image and the Byron poem is the perfect accompaniment

    1. Thank you. When I try to think of a poem, that's always the one that pops into my head for some reason.

  2. I love the combination of image and poem, but really, the image draws all of my attention :)

    1. Thanks! I was going to post for Wicked Wednesday, but I decided to hold off for a couple days. But I have it all written up. Now I just need pics for that. XD

  3. The image feels somehow classical. Really like it

    1. Thank you! I was going for a bit of a Grecian effect, so that's awesome.

  4. Gorgeous image and the words of the poem are beautiful.

  5. This is so incredibly lovely! The words and the image go perfectly together. The tilt of your chin and the curve of your hip are incredibly sexy, especially contrasted with the dark fabric.

  6. Lots of poetry on Sinful Sunday this week! This is great!

  7. Gorgeous accompaniment to these memorable words :)
